Autumn in Malham
‘When the trees begin to change colour around ‘The Foss’, it’s great to make the most of the fresh mornings before winter sets in’
– Ian, Front of House
‘The fires are back on and there’s a cosy feeling that returns to the Lister. Time for a pint by the fire with the dog at your feet.’
– Beth, Housekeeping
‘With autumn returns the need for a hearty pie, it’s a good job our Lister pie is the best around.’
– Nat, Chef

Winter in Malham
“It’s got to be the clear frosty mornings. When the sun rises over the hills, there is the orange glow in the village and it’s crispy underfoot. They are the days I get the fires on nice and early. Also if you’re up early enough take the short walk to the top of Malham cove for the late sunrise, its definitely worth it.”
– Chris, General Manager
“I love how still the village is as you walk through the fields to Janet’s Foss. Also the water is so clear and inviting even though it’ll be freezing. Time it right with the weather and the snowy waterfall is magical!”
– Ella, Front of House
“For me it’s the local produce we can get in for our seasonal specials, game from the local moors coupled with winter vegetables and a delicious sauce, that puts a smile on my face.”

Spring in Malham
‘Spring is a great season in Malham, the sound of lambs echo in the Dale and there is a general feel of everything waking from its winter slumber.’
– Ross, Deputy Manager
